Born from the collaboration between Exbrayat Enrico, Romain Granoux and Agathe Marimbert, acting as lead architect, this renovation project explores a building’s ability to reinvent itself without erasing its history.

Over the decades, this building in Paris’s Sentier district had undergone successive transformations, revealing a layered mix of structures, materials and construction methods. Rather than concealing these traces, the project chooses to bring them to the forefront. Existing metal, timber and structural elements are highlighted in a coral hue, drawing attention to the building’s construction history and the many lives it has lived.

Designed in deliberately restrained, luminous tones, the spaces allow natural light to fully inhabit the architecture. More than an office building, the project imagines an open and adaptable framework, capable of accommodating new uses over time. An architecture that resists being confined to a single programme and instead embraces the freedom to be continually reinvented.
